Recharged Bearman ready to kick Haas

OLIVER BEARMAN insists the summer break is vital for drivers to recharge away from the track - even if he can’t get racing off his mind.

The Formula One break comes at a perfect time for some and a frustrating one for others.

For Haas prodigy Bearman, it could well have been a case of the latter, after he recovered from a pit-lane start to finish a career-best sixth at the Dutch Grand Prix last time out.

But he is adamant the rest was very much needed ahead of a gruelling second half of the season to come.

“It’s definitely important,” Bearman told Starsport in the Haas motorhome in Zandvoort. “Not just for the driver, but also for the team members.
