A DAD was murdered trying to stop burglars pinching his “beloved’” labradoodle.

Police found Donald Patience dead in his home after being called to reports raiders had broken in to steal a dog.

The father-of-three, 45, was often seen walking his much-loved pooch.

His ex-wife Kirsty – with whom he shared three children – posted online: “This breaks my heart to have to write this.
