EDDIE HOWE insists he would step aside and let someone else manage Newcastle if he did not think he was up to the job at St James' Park.

The Toon boss has made it clear he has no intention of quitting the Magpies despite enduring boos after the defeat to Brentford at the weekend.

He now takes his team into battle tonight against a Tottenham side who have failed to win in the Prem this year with Thomas Frank also under big pressure.
