BRITAIN faces a £40billion tax bomb in a desperate attempt to fund the country out of crisis.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves is also keeping cuts to the winter fuel allowance and the two-child benefit cap while hiking bus fares.

She insisted measures in her Budget yesterday are needed to "rebuild Britain" and fund struggling schools and hospitals.
