Joel primed to provide the fireworks to spark lift-off
JOEL PIROE says he is ready to prove himself as the main man for newly-promoted Leeds this season.
The prolific Dutchman helped Daniel Farke's men to the Championship title last term and won the division's Golden Boot after scoring 19 league goals.
Yet Piroe, signed from Swansea two summers ago, is untested in English football's top flight having never played there before.
Now he will get that chance and the 26-year-old is determined to prove he can be just as prolific in the Premier League.
Farke is working hard to bring in striking reinforcements, but Piroe said: “In the Premier League, and playing for a big club, you always face competition.
“If it's a new signing or an academy prospect, there will always be a battle for your place.
