BULLET-dodging Donald Trump heard a "whizzing sound" as a would-be assassin tried to shoot him in the head.

The ex-US president, 78, was left covered in blood after Thomas Matthew Crooks grazed him with a bullet as he fired off at least nine shots at the Pennsylvania MAGA rally on Saturday.
Republican leader Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform: "I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear.
