Emery urges Rash to follow Salah's lead

- NEIL MOXLEY

GIVE US A MO

UNAI EMERY believes Mo Salah is hitting peak performance – and wants Aston Villa’s Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio to follow suit.

The Villa boss was gushing with praise for the Egyptian, who he says is “unique”. Emery hinted at a start for Rashford against Liverpool tonight after he provided one of the bright sparks in the 1-1 draw with Ipswich. Asensio’s wait may be longer but there was no doubting Emery’s message to the two loanees – nor his admiration for Salah.

The Spaniard said: “His career has been amazing – I think he’s playing his best football.

“He’s hitting huge numbers, scoring goals and assists, gaining confidence. When his team-mates have a player like him, everyone is more comfortable.
