FLORIS IN THE RAIN

85mph gales and torrential downpours as storm hits UK

BRITAIN is due to get battered by Storm Floris with unseasonably strong 85mph winds.

A yellow warning for wind has been issued by the Met Office for the North from 6am on Monday to 6am on Tuesday. Heavy rain is also expected along with transport disruption.

Forecasters said that Floris, the sixth named storm of the 2024-25 naming season, will bring “unusually windy weather” for this time of year.
