Ex-newsreader is charged over photos on app

FORMER BBC newsreader Huw Edwards has been charged with making indecent images of children.

The telly star faces three charges over alleged activity between December 2020 and April 2022.

The offences are claimed to be linked to images shared on WhatsApp, police said.
