A CLASSIC Corrie character will be killed off in the new year, the Daily Star can reveal.

The dramatic scenes will air as part of the ITV soap’s crossover episode with Emmerdale.

Executive producer Iain MacLeod said: "The soap gods demand a sacrifice when you have an event of this kind.
