Renato off the mark in Blues cruise

RENATO VEIGA opened his Chelsea account as he sent them on their way to victory in their 300th European game.

Pedro Neto, Christopher Nkunku and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall added the finishing touches in the Blues' firstever UEFA Conference League tie against Gent.

But the Belgian side also struck twice as they attempted to shock the 2021 Champions League winners.

Portuguese left-back Veiga made sure that wasn't likely as he headed home his first Chelsea goal since his £11.8m summer arrival from Basel.
