YOHAN CABAYE has backed former club Newcastle to keep their prized assets and challenge for major honours after securing Champions League football next season.
Qualifying for Europe's elite competititon is a huge boost to boss Eddie Howe's hopes of holding on to Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Tino Livramento.
"Of course it's important to keep these players," said former France midfielder Cabaye, a popular figure on Tyneside between 2011 and 2014.
