'Breathing failure' for sick Pope

FEARS for the Pope grew again last night after he suffered a double setback in his treatment for pneumonia.

The pontiff suffered “two episodes of acute respiratory failure,” the Vatican said.

As a result, a probe was fitted in his throat to inspect the problem in the organs.
