Gordon novice looks like a good thing
-
ONE of the most picturesque stables I've visited is Chris Gordon's establishment which is housed not far from Newbury.
He trains KOCKTAIL BLEU (1.15) who was a good second in a Grade Two affair at Kempton Park last time out in February, so he looks a good thing to land the Castle Windows Novices' Hurdle run over two miles at his local track.
In the BetVictor Novices' Handicap Hurdle run over two and a quarter miles THEWOODCORNER (1.50) looks well-treated racing off a rating of 113. Nick Henderson's creature scored at Chepstow in January, and Sam Twiston-Davies is a rare jockey booking for this powerful stable.
One horse who will enjoy the drying ground is TWINJETS (2.25) who lines up in the BetVictor Handicap Chase run over two and a half miles. Paul Nicholls' inmate scored cosily over course and distance in November when rated 141, and he rocks up here off a ledge of 147, but the excellent Jay Tidball takes off 5lb.
