JAMIE OSBORNE hopes the extra work he has put in with Heart Of Honor will ensure the colt does not give his rivals a head start when he lines up in the final leg of the US Triple Crown tonight.

After misbehaving in the gate, Heart Of Honor got off to such a slow start in the Preakness Stakes that his trainer wanted to ‘dig a hole and jump into it’.

His daughter Saffie Osborne was set an insurmountable task to get into contention in Maryland where the UAE Derby runner-up kept going to finish fifth, beaten eight and three quarter lengths.
