Barnes: No Harv measure

HARVEY BARNES hopes Newcastle can channel the trauma of their last Wembley defeat when they go for glory on Sunday.

The Magpies will have another crack at the Carabao Cup against Liverpool, two years after falling at the final hurdle against Manchester United and 70 years after their last domestic trophy.

Although Barnes was still at Leicester when Newcastle came up short in 2023, a whole host of the starters from that day are set to get a second bite at the cherry.

"I think a lot of the players will have bad memories from it, of course," he said.
