CARDIFF boss Brian Barry-Murphy praised the way his team recovered after seeing leading scorer Yousef Salech taken off on a stretcher to fight back to draw 1-1 with fellow promotion hopefuls STOCKPORT.

The League One leaders had fallen behind to Kyle Wootton's 10th-minute strike before there was a lengthy delay midway through the first half when Salech collided with County centre-back Brad Hills and needed treatment from medical staff before eventually being carried off with his neck in a brace.

Cardiff hauled themselves level in the sixth minute of first-half added time through Joel Colwill but were not able to find a winner, leaving them four clear of Lincoln.
