Improving Cumbrians' huge clash with Stanley

LEAGUE Two's big clash takes place between two northern sides desperate to avoid relegation to the National League, with Carlisle heading down the M6 to take on Accrington Stanley.

The Cumbrians have occupied a spot in the bottom two for much of the season, but three wins in a row for Mark Hughes' sideincluding a dramatic 3-2 victory over leaders Port Vale on Good Friday, in which goalkeeper Gabe Breeze saved a late penalty have given them hope of beating the dreaded drop.

Victory over Stanley could move them to within a point of safety, with two games to come, and Hughes said: "We've just got to keep this run going.

"We're still in it. We're still fighting. That's what I expect."
