Singer pokes fun as three couples get engaged while he sings in Oz

LEWIS Capaldi has joked with fans over the number of loved-up lads proposing to their girlfriends at his gigs.

The 29-year-old Scots star is playing gigs around Australia on his Broken By Desire to Be Heavenly Sent tour.

Fans have been ecstatic about his return to the stage after a two-year break, so much so that some have used his concerts as a place to propose to their partners.

Since starting his shows Down Under last week, there have been three public proposals at Lewis's shows.

At his opening gig at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre last Thursday, a couple got engaged during his romantic track Love the Hell Out of You.

The Someone You Loved singer then jokingly scolded them for "taking the shine off me" as he declared: "It's my concert!"
