Parents' unsettling encounter Hospital move 'saved tot'

A MUM and dad feel a doctor's decision to move their baby out of the hospital where Lucy Letby worked saved his life.

The parents, who wish to remain anonymous, described an unsettling encounter with the nurse after their newborn became ill at Countess of Chester Hospital in 2015.

He was born full-term and healthy, however he was later taken away and they were told he needed some help breathing.

They later met paediatrician Dr Stephen Brearey who made the decision to send the tot to Liverpool Women's Hospital.

On Channel 4's new documentary Lucy Letby: Murder or Mistake? the dad recalls: "We were obviously worried. We were there for a couple of hours."

The mum said: "It seemed to last forever, didn't it?

"Then a nurse came in with the box - I didn't really see her, I just saw the box and I just burst into tears.
