Thrilled Jason Banks a historic title treble

SCOTLAND'S Jason Banks completed a historic hat-trick after dominating yesterday's singles final at the World Indoor Bowls Championships in Great Yarmouth.

The 28-year-old from Inverurie had already won the Open Pairs with Michael Stepney and the Mixed Pairs with Beth Riva.

But Banks then became the first player to scoop all three titles in the same week when he added the singles crown by defeating 2020 champion Robert Paxton.
