Thelin: We will have final word

JIMMY THELIN refused to get embroiled in a war of words with FCSB owner Gigi Becali and insisted his Aberdeen team will do their talking on the pitch.

Tonight's Europa League qualifier is finely balanced at 2-2 ahead of the second leg in Bucharest.

But cocky Becali already has his side winning it and is looking for them to go on to lift the trophy in May. The Romanian claimed: "We've already won it.

"It was normal for them to show more when they played at home and we had three players missing.

"They showed some strength but not technique, you could say they're walking around. I want to win the Europa League, to go directly to the Champions League." Thelin wouldn't rise to the bait, diplomatically responding: "I have nothing to say about that. I haven't read it.
