Thelin facing three biggest games of reign
Daily Record
|October 28, 2025
IS Jimmy Thelin capable of turning around Aberdeen's fortunes?
That is the question causing the biggest headache in the Pittodrie boardroom. It is hard to believe that just five months ago, Thelin and his team created history by taking the Scottish Cup back to the Granite City for the first time in 35 years.
But it now seems like a distant memory.
Yes, some of the critics will say Aberdeen's form wasn't great at the end of last season either and their Hampden heroics simply papered over the cracks. And you know what? Maybe it did.
But the bottom line is Thelin and his team lifted the trophy and delivered European group stage games on the back of it, another major goal for the Dons.
It should have been the perfect springboard into this season but instead Aberdeen have dropped like a stone.
