FAMILY Harvey with his dad Mark CCTV Harvey, left, with his killer on the day of murder PAIN Harvey's mum Caroline Willgoose after sentencing yesterday

THE mum of tragic schoolboy Harvey Willgoose spoke of her relief as his killer was locked up for at least 16 years.

Mohammed Umar Khan, 15, plunged a 5in serrated hunting knife into Harvey's heart at school in February.

The knife-obsessed killer was given a life sentence yesterday after being found guilty of murder.

He was publicly identified for the first time after a judge lifted reporting restrictions.

And police released a photo of the teen clutching the same weapon he used to stab Harvey in the heart on a lunch break in front of classmates.

Caroline Willgoose, mum of 15-year-old Harvey, said after the sentencing: "I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders."

And Harvey's sister Sophie, 28, described the moment the family heard he had died: "My mum screamed out in pain, my dad collapsed over the sink. In that moment, our world was shattered forever.

"Harvey was the most caring, gentle, thoughtful and loving young man.

"He had a cheeky character, a brilliant sense of humour and a warmth that made everyone love him."

She added that her and Harvey's beloved grandad John had died last week. She said: "His health declined as grief drained both his strength and his motivation to fight.

"We are haunted daily by the CCTV of the stabbing, something we had to endure because the defendant refused to take any accountability.
