Arne thrilled to have O'Neill back at Hoops helm as veteran ditches Wilf’s complicated tactics and keeps it simple to spark revival

- BY MICHAEL GANNON

ARNE ENGELS reckons the Celtic squad can see clearly again now the Nancy reign has gone.

The Belgian didn't want to put the boot in to the departed boss - but he didn't have to.

There was enough evidence on the pitch in Saturday's 4-0 victory against Dundee United to prove his point.

Engels admitted the confidence that had evaporated under Brother Wilfried came flooding back with Martin O'Neill on board again.

There was cohesion instead of confusion - thanks to a coaching approach that seems to have gone out of fashion these days.

The returning club legend made it SIMPLE for Celts.

O'Neill has gone back to basics - and got the side back in the title race.

Engels also hit form again and capped a dominant display with a cool finish to make it 2-0 before the break after Yang Hyun-jun's opener.

Benjamin Nygren and Daizen Maeda gave Celts daylight in the second period and Engels said: “It’s really strange for us. Obviously they weren't the results that we were hoping for [under Nancy]. But I think that's behind us now.
