New pro regrets 'row for ratings'

- BY NICOLA METHVEN

Strictly speaking I faked it

STRICTLY Come Dancing's new pro dancer Julian Caillon has admitted he once faked a row on TV to cause drama.

The Australian, who joins the BBC series this autumn, told how he acted up for the cameras to please producers who wanted the fake friction to boost ratings.

Julian was appearing on the Aussie version of the ballroom show, Dancing With The Stars.

He was paired with a female celebrity with a hectic schedule, which sometimes made her late.

The 29-year-old dancer and choreographer — shown in Oz with a fellow pro dancer, right - claims producers cooked up a plan for him to pretend he was angry with her for not being on time - and he went along with it.

"Reality TV is not necessarily what you think," he explained afterwards.

A massive aspect of reality TV is not really real.
