OAP told to stay away from Beeb host for life

A PENSIONER who stalked TV presenter Anne McAlpine for almost four years has been ordered to stay away from her for life.
Robert Green tormented the BBC Scotland newsreader, leaving her "terrified, exposed and vulnerable".
The 71-year-old repeatedly prowled her home, sent unwanted gifts and letters on subjects including the late Princess Diana and Rangers Football Club and penned love poems to her.
Green had denied the accusations during a trial without a jury at Glasgow Sheriff Court in January.
But he was found guilty of engaging in a course of conduct which left the 39-year-old newsreader in fear and alarm between February 2021 and November 2024.
