STEPHEN KINGSLEY can sense something special is brewing in Gorgie this season - and it smells like team spirit.

The experienced Hearts defender has never known a dressing room so packed with big characters willing to go the extra yard as the one Derek McInnes has built in Gorgie.

Their mettle was tested again in horrendous conditions at the Falkirk Stadium on Saturday night. But they weathered the storm with Kingsley climbing off the bench to rifle home a stunning goal and clinch a victory that stretches the Jambos' lead over Celtic to six points.

The Hoops may have two games in hand, starting with a midweek trip to Tannadice. But after completing a home and away double over the champions Kingsley insists belief is through the roof.

And with Rangers up next in the capital the 31-year-old insists McInnes' Tynecastle brothers-in-arms fear nobody.

Kingsley said: "It's such an enjoyable dressing room. Obviously the results help with that.

"But genuinely, in terms of the personalities that we've got in the changing room, it is the best I've had in terms of the way everyone's gelled.

"Everyone is fighting for each other. It's a great squad. It's not just 11 boys that go on to the park.

"Everyone's pulling for each other and striving towards the same goal to go and do something special this season, whether it's leagues, cups, whatever that may be.

"That's what gets you through these games, when the conditions are blustery and you're trying to work your way into the game.
