WES Streeting has blasted a Reform MP for making “racist” complaints about adverts “full of black people, full of Asian people”.

- BY LIZZY BUCHAN

The Health Secretary branded Sarah Pochin's remarks a “disgrace”.

On Talk TV Pochin said: “It drives me mad when I see adverts full of Black people, full of Asian people”.

Amid a backlash, she said her comment was “phrased poorly”. But Reform’s Runcorn and Helsby MP doubled down on her claim many adverts are “unrepresentative of British society”.

Streeting said: “She's only sorry that she’s been caught and called out and she said the quiet bit loud.”

The minister said he visited a school in his Ilford North constituency on Friday where boys told him of the racism they suffered.
