Present pressures for the perfect Christmas

Finance and parenting experts explain how to lower festive expectations... and debts

EVERY child dreams that all the gifts on their list will be waiting for them under the tree. But the harsh reality of life is many families can’t afford to buy everything - a fact that can break hearts on Christmas Day.

“For many, this Christmas will be a tough one as the cost of living has continued to rise, putting even more pressure on household finances,” says financial expert Alastair Douglas.
