MARTIN O'NEILL is sweating on Arne Engels for Rugby Park on Sunday and is weighing up throwing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on to the plastic pitch for the vital title crunch with Kilmarnock.

The Celtic boss explained the absences of wide men Yang Hyun-jun and Joel Mvuka in midweek as he looked ahead to the weekend clash. He said: "I'll take a few things into consideration—maybe the surface. But so far, Alex hasn't complained about that, and I will have a look at it.

"I need to speak to the medical staff on Arne. But if he's out for some time, that would be a loss to us.
