Now MPs push to strip Andrew title

Parli & palace in pincer move to boot him out of rent-free lodge

PARLIAMENT and Buckingham Palace are moving forward to strip Prince Andrew of his duke title permanently and banish him from his £30million home.

Although Andrew, 65, has given up calling himself the Duke of York, only a law passed by Parliament can remove the title.

In an unprecedented move, which breaks the long convention of not criticising members of the Royal Family, MPs are set to debate Andrew's future formally.

The Lib Dems intend to use their next Opposition Day debate to discuss the matter.

They are also set to raise his continued rent-free use of the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, Berkshire.
