KYLE STEYN says having his family in the stands helped ease his All Blacks suffering.

The Scotland winger's parents rushed to book flights for the 12,000-mile round journey from their South ‘African home once they heard he had made the team.

Dad Rory - Nelson Mandela's former bodyguard = and Glaswegian mum, Gillian, barely spent 24 hours in Scotland after making the last-minute arrangement.

Steyn said: “My parents landed in Scotland at half 11 on Saturday morning and then flew home at half 12 on Sunday so they could get back to work.
