DAN O'REILLY says he's found a home at Firhill after becoming a footballing equivalent of “Tiger Woods with all these clubs”.

And both he and Partick Thistle No.2 Alex Rae are banking on his contract extension teeing up more players to seal deals as the club seek to avoid January pickpockets.

The Irish defender, 30, heads to Morton today fresh from signing anew terms that will keep him in Maryhill until summer 2027 with an option to extend it further.

O'Reilly has been pivotal in Jags only losing one of their first eight league games and, having joined in January 2024, has already had the longest spell at one club since leaving Fulham over a decade ago.

He said: “Football's changed a bit in terms of the duration of contracts. In Ireland, a lot of deals were one year, so youre like, Right, am I going somewhere else?”.

“Your CV can build up and youre like Tiger Woods with all these clubs! I'm at an age now where my ambition is still there but the clubs so right for me in a lot of ways.
