A GHANAIAN singer has claimed the 'king' of the 'Kubala Kingdom' evicted from Scots woodland tried to recruit her as his Queen.

Afua Asantewaa, who is known in Ghana for attempting to break the world singathon record, said she got an email from the 'tribe leader' asking her to join him before he settled in woods in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire - sparking a four-month battle with authorities.

On Thursday, the self-proclaimed 'King' of the 'African tribe', who is also from Ghana, was detained alongside his handmaiden. Kofi Offeh and Kaura Taylor of the 'Kingdom of Kubala' were taken away in a raid by police and immigration officers.
