KIDS CLUB THIEF'S £11K AMAZON BILL

A SCHOOL worker who spent years stealing children's breakfast club money to fund shopping sprees has been jailed for 16 months.

Jane Duncan put a P7 trip and the existence of the breakfast club in jeopardy by embezzling more than £28,000 from the Dundee school.

The city's sheriff court heard how Duncan, 54, pocketed money for four years while she was working at Mill o'Mains Primary School.

She used the money to spend more than £11,000 on Amazon, buying herself items including PlayStation games, pet goods and cosmetic products.

Sheriff Tim Niven-Smith said: "You are 54 and of normal intelligence. It would be obvious fairly quickly, whilst you were embezzling funds, that you were not going to be able to repay those sums of money.
