Kathy's second chance after vital surgery
A GRAN who was starving to death on an NHS waiting list has had life-changing surgery.
Kathy Allan, 59, told how she survived on two packets of Skips a day. The dissolving crisps were the only food she could keep down.
The gran of six, from Ayr, was fading away due to a hiatus hernia which saw her shed 12 stone in an agonising 16-month wait for a vital op.
She previously told the Record she feared she wouldn't see Christmas.
