CHARLIE ADAM says Danny Rohl will secure hero status for the rest of his life at Ibrox if he leads Rangers to the Premiership title.

The former Gers midfielder believed his old club were out of the running for league honours after a disastrous start to the season.

When Rohl replaced Russell Martin as boss in October, Rangers were sixth in the table and trailed leaders Hearts by 13 points.

But the German has closed the gap on Derek McInnes' side to six points and only a single goal difference separates the Light Blues from Celtic.

Rohl's men could gain more ground with those rivals meeting at Tynecastle on Sunday, while Gers host Dundee.

Adam - who spent six years at Ibrox - said: "It would be unbelievable if Danny won this title for Rangers.
