Jukebox proves a smash hit for Redknapp in Xmas thriller
HARRY REDKNAPP toasted success in the Champions League as The Jukebox Man carried his colours to victory in a drama-laden King George VI Chase yesterday.
With Kempton's future in the balance, the great race was in need of a classic - and got one.
Four of the eight runners were covered by a single hoof-beat on landing at the last of the 18 fences, 150 yards from the finish of the three-mile test.
Defending champion Banbridge headed The Jukebox Man at the final obstacle but the 7-1 chance and jockey Ben Jones struck back to land a three-way photo by a nose.
The 9-4 favourite Gaelic Warrior was the same distance away in third.
