Toony picks in-form Warriors ahead of record scorers Duhan and Darcy

- BY STUART BATHGATE

GAME BEATS FAME

GREGOR TOWNSEND has gone for form not fame in his Scotland team to play Italy tomorrow.

The head coach has picked Glasgow's Kyle Steyn and Jamie Dobie to start on the wing in the Six Nations match in Rome — and left out the country’s all-time-record try-scorers, Edinburgh pair Darcy Graham and Duhan van der Merwe.

It is a similar story at fullback. Ex-Warrior Tom Jordan, now with Bristol, is in while 63-times-capped Blair Kinghorn -now with six-time European champions Toulouse - is out.
