POLICE are hunting for a red car after a man was mowed down near the home of a Daniel crime clan member in a hit-and-run attack.

- BY JOHN PAUL CLARK

The incident took place on Dalsetter Avenue in Drumchapel, Glasgow, on Monday, less than half a mile from a property owned by Kevin “the Gerbil” Carroll's widow Kelly Bo Green.

Officers confirmed they were searching for a small red vehicle in connection with the incident after a 51-year-old man was injured before the car was driven away.

It comes just days after Kelly Bo's house on Drumchapel Road was searched by cops after a man was taken to hospital in a separate attack on Friday.

The condition and age of the man who was attacked is not yet known.

Officers in forensic suits were seen combing Kelly Bo's property for evidence before removing two dogs from inside the house the day after the attack.

Images from the scene in Drumchapel show a police vehicle parked at an industrial estate on Dalsetter Drive following the hit and run.
