Dad was crossing road after getting off bus
A MOTORCYCLIST who killed an OAP after driving his off-road bike at more than double the speed the limit has been jailed for four years.
Joshua Findlay struck David Gow with his KTM 300-XC bike as he crossed Balmore Road in Lambhill, Glasgow, in February 2023.
Lady Drummond told Findlay: "Mr Gow was a vulnerable road user as a 79-year-old pedestrian with no opportunity to protect himself from your dangerous driving"
She told the High Court in Edinburgh that the victim was a loving father and husband who was "deeply missed".
The judge said that she accepted 25-year-old Findlay has shown "genuine remorse" and was assessed as minimum risk of re-offending but added that she was satisfied only a jail sentence was appropriate.
