Beeb may cut current affairs telly

THE BBC says it may have to reduce the number of current affairs shows it broadcasts in the evenings.

The warning comes as it battles an exodus of licence-fee payers.

The Beeb warned Ofcom it will be forced to air more repeats in primetime slots after cutting spending on new shows if they don't scale back existing quotas.
