And the former skipper, now 81, believes “smart cookie” Luke Donald has a great chance to emulate his historic victory on Long Island this week.
Double Major winner Jacklin is the man who changed the Ryder Cup by flying his team across the Atlantic on Concorde in 1987 to beat Jack Nicklaus’ star-studded side.
