THE 2028 Open will tee off in August to avoid a clash with the Los Angeles Olympics.

LA28 will run from July 14-30 - the traditional dates of the oldest Major.
The four-day men's Olympic golf event will start on Wednesday July 19 with a new two-day mixed team beginning on Sunday 23.
