A DAD has died after he was attacked while trying to save a young colleague.

Andrew Main, 33, from Falkirk, was in Wales working at a festival when he was reported to have been beaten in Swansea on July 17.

He died on Wednesday after spending weeks in intensive care.

The dad of two was set upon on after he rushed to the aid of a co-worker being attacked by two men.

His family have since hailed him as a hero.

Andrew was initially taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Heath, Cardiff, before being transferred to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
