SAINSBURY'S IN SHARE PRICE LEAP

SHARES in Sainsbury's hit a four-year high yesterday after the supermarket rebuffed a revised takeover approach for its Argos arm.
Sainsbury's held talks - confirmed on Saturday - with Chinese online giant JD.com about a potential takeover of the former catalogue chain.
But the store pulled the plug on Sunday following a swiftly arranged board meeting after Sainsbury's received new proposals that, it described as “materially different.
