Kayla Esson underwent rounds of chemotherapy for cancer

A YOUNG paramedic was told she had allergies after her face swelled up ~ but it turned out to be symptoms of cancer.

Kayla Esson, based at Banff Ambulance Station, went to the doctor suffering from shortness of breath and swelling.

She was told it was probably allergies but tests later revealed a tumour the size on an iPhone in her chest.

Now it has been confirmed the 22-year-old is suffering from advanced cancer.
