Aid flotilla pair arrive home to a big welcome

SCOTS activists detained by Israeli forces on a Gaza aid trip were welcomed home as “heroes” at Glasgow Airport last night.
Loved ones and supporters held up placards and cheered as Sid Khan and Jim Hickey arrived, before Sid said: “Thank you all for coming here, that's amazing.”
The pair were among four Scots held after Israeli forces intercepted the Global Sumud Flotilla last Wednesday. The fleet of 42 boats were seeking to break Israel's naval blockade of Gaza and deliver aid.
