AMBULANCE workers have been bitten, spat at and sexually assaulted in the line of duty, an investigation has revealed.
Nearly 800 assaults on crews across Scotland have taken place over the last five years.
The GMB union is now demanding better protection for 999 workers who took to the stage at GMB's annual congress in Brighton yesterday to discuss the issue.
